I am not sure where to post this but I feel it fits in the frugal mindset.
I saw a post the other day (I believe in /r/personalfinance) and there was a discussion about people living in mobile homes and sailboats in order to pay for college or etc... I even saw a video about a guy who lived in a storage unit. It made me really think about the potential to save money while still living comfortably.
I live in LA so my $1700/month 1 bedroom is killing me. I want to find something out of the norm to save money while still getting my basic needs. This doesn't mean living in your car. I am sure i'm not alone.
What kind of ideas do you guys have? Any stories you would like to share?
