I got married in 1975. (yeah getting old). While others were choosing china patterns, I chose Denby Stoneware made in England.. IIRC my service for 8 with serving tray and large bowl cost $350. Looks very valuable now!
It's oven proof, still as good as new after 40+ years. My pattern has great resale value!
I requested Farberware, but my bridal party gave me Ekco SS cookware. I use it every day 40+ years later. I do have a few pieces of vintage Farberware when the factory was in the Bronx. My 7" Ekco pan is used every day.
Vintage Ekco also has great resale value
I always looked for quality and classic, simple design. Back then, Conran's and Dansk were my stores of choice. I am still using my beautiful Conran's SS silverware.
Vintage Pyrex pie plates, and Corningware casseroles.
Edit: I just checked some serving utensils, yep Ekco Flint made is USA. Still good as new. like these
