I'm not going to link because I'm not sure how promoting certain sites work or whatever. I'm not affiliated with them in any way but I wanted to bring attention that on woot.com under electronics then tablets, there are kindles being sold again, some as cheap as $15.
This is discussed a lot in this sub with OVERDRIVE.COM a library service where you can borrow ebooks for free just like you would a regular book form a library but all you need is an internet connect and valid library card.
Again the intention is not to break any rules of this sub. I've not linked any referral links or anything. But it comes up often that people are looking for cheap e-book readers.
This are older generation but work fine (without bakclight they are thinner than the paper whites) Mine is gen 4 battery last about a month with 2-3 hours of reading a day.
