So there's a house in my market that's got a great location but has been sitting for over a year and according to the realtors its due to it having a cistern and thus there are limited loan options for such a property. A conventional loan will work and I can afford that, but I'm concerned about both A) reselling the place in a few years because of the cistern and B) how reliable such a system is. What's the chance it will leak or fail in some other way?
Any tips or experience would be awesome!
