No one in my family has really ever been able to invest in their retirement so I'm in new waters with this. I've got a new job now that allowed me to open a retirement savings plan and I have done so for a few months now.
I don't understand any of it though and reading the investing and retirement tab here is confusing to me and any Google search I find is still confusing.
I don't understand any of this. I don't understand what the stocks are that was chosen for me. I get what bonds are. I understand that I contribute and my employer matches a certain amount. But in general, everything is like I'm reading a foreign language and I want to understand it but I can't.
Is there any extremely simple dumb down explanation on this. I'm so frustrated.
Edit: Sorry if wrong flair..wasn't sure if this would be investing or retirement but figured my goal is retirement at 65..I'm 27..
Edit 2: Wanted to add pictures of what they have me invested in and where my account is currently. I took screenshots.. http://ift.tt/2mF6Air http://ift.tt/2m6nMdH http://ift.tt/2mF1xhU http://ift.tt/2m6rC6F http://ift.tt/2mFcKyS http://ift.tt/2m6suYS http://ift.tt/2mFc907
Let me know if you need anything else from me. I'm so lost lol
