I'm working to expose a chimney in my living room and during the mortar removal I found about an 8 inch hole which probably was once used for a wood stove.Here are a couple images of the hole: http://ift.tt/2nQl64j isn't a ton of info on the web about this issue so I was hoping you might have some ideas on how to patch this hole. I'd like to get it to match as close as possible, I really love the look of the original brick. The fireplace on the first floor will never be used since this is a rental property.
