I have a friend that works at a large chain store. They recently started deducting $300 from her paychecks monthly for health care which was not requested or explained ahead of time. She is already covered by a private health care plan so the new one is redundant. She says that another employee fought for months to unenroll from the plan, but they put up a big fight and it took a very long time. I'm wondering, is there a "Regulation E" equivalent that can be mentioned to HR here? Any shortcuts or buzz words that can be used in conversation to speed up the process of unenrolling? Thanks.
