I work in sales for a cardiac diagnostic lab. When I was hired on last year, I very stupidly and regrettably did not negotiate their offer for the following reasons:

1) I didn't know the market at the time and thought the offer was very generous

2) I thought our commission plan would play out better than it has

3) I was inexperienced in the role and felt like I had no ammunition to argue for more

In the past year I've been here, I've begun to see things differently. For one, I am continually having recruiters reach out to me with comparable jobs offer 75-80k base plus significantly more in commission (~130-180k total earnings). Note that these aren't offers, they are merely contacting me to see if I would be interested in applying for them. In contrast, my base salary is 67k and my total earnings with commission are somewhere around 85-90k. As you can see, a massive difference.

The second part hinges on my performance. Earlier this month we had our sales meeting. My current standings are me being ranked #6 in the company for sales out of ~70 people. I also placed first in a contest we were doing on promoting a new product, which I was given an award and a small bonus for.

My territory is doing well and I'm on track to just about double my quota (10% targeted growth vs. nearly 20% of what I'm on track to hit). This has resulted in nearly ~150k additional revenue above and beyond what I was asked to do. Our commission structure is really, really god-awful for going above and beyond so despite my massive out-performance, I have earned little above someone else that only hit their targets and nothing more (maybe another $300 in my pocket).

My concern here is that we've had three sales meetings in the past few months about how our company is having some difficulty with lower reimbursements from insurance companies and whatnot, and they cannot justify an annual 2.5% raise for us given their fallen revenue. My particular territory has seen massive growth and additional revenue, though, so can I base my justification for a raise off of that while ignoring declining revenue in territories unrelated to me?

Before anyone suggests it, I'm not interested in going out and getting a competing job offer to use as leverage. I quite like my company and my current compensation, while below what I feel I'm worth, is not something I would leave over/worth souring relationships with my manager by interviewing elsewhere.
