I found a video on YouTube that shows how to sharpen electric razor heads. Mine is a Norelco that uses the RQ11 head. The instructions suggest replacing the head every 6 months with a new one that is $31 on Amazon or $40+ elsewhere. I was able to sharpen the blades in about 5 minutes using 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and a piece of glass. You simply disassemble, lap the blades on the sandpaper (who's is placed on the glass) with some water and that's pretty much it. I never even thought twice about trying to sharpen those blades.
I also took the time to sharpen my hair trimmer and thinning shears.
