Practically every microwave I've had has had this issue. This is my current microwave: http://ift.tt/2kUKkxj
It is only 2 years old and it has formed "bubbles" in the paint that when rubbed reveal rust spots underneath. The bubbles occur on the ceiling of the interior as well as some of the sides. This is mostly an aesthetic thing since I don't believe the paint actually chips off into the food or presents a safety risk and the microwave is otherwise perfectly functional, but it still annoys me, especially for something I'd like to make a long term investment in.
Basically, are there any microwaves out there that have better thermal protection in their interior paints? For something that'll last a long time I'd be willing to invest $$$ in it. It must be a countertop microwave though.
