I hope I'm posting this in the correct place as I'm hoping to be as frugal as possible with this decision! Due to family circumstances we need to get a minivan. Originally we were looking at new but I just don't want to spend that kind of money right now. We could afford it but I started seeing a lot of pre owned kia sedonas that are the current model year literally half the price of a new one. However they are all former rental cars per carfax.
I really have no idea what to think of that. I've seen some that are certified used so they would still have a good warranty. But is a former rental car a bad idea? I assume rental companies are on top of routine maintenance but you have a bunch of random people driving the car. Does anyone have any experience with this?
