I'm looking for a compact travel power strip ideally with the following:
- 3+ outlets
- 1 outlet not placed adjacent to the others (for plugging in some bulk battery charger)
- 2+ USB ports
- 6"-18" cord for removing the weight from the plug and maneuvering
- Accepts 110-220V
Compromises are okay, but here's my opinions on a couple ones I've tried/looked at:
- Belkin's had all adjacent slots but was so compact that I tried it out. Prongs stuck out and made it a bit awkward. No cord made all the stress on the outlet which would pull out my universal plug adapter. Also annoying when the outlet was behind something.
- Besten's: 2 outlets, but at least they are not adjacent. Fast charging a nice bonus, but apparently the cord is ridiculously stiff apparently which can make it a pain with adapters.
- Tripp Lite: My favorite power strip if only it worked internationally. One outlet is on the back which the plug uses for compact packaging. I actually mistakenly thought it did and blew the surge protection, buying it many years before the giant warning on the listing now. I don't want a voltage converter as all my devices can handle 110-220V.
