Hi everyone, sorry to interrupt your day with a modpost. In case you haven't noticed, there's been a sudden and quite sharp increase in NSFW spam posts all across reddit and /r/simpleliving has been no exception. From what I can see, the spammers are constantly generating new accounts and using some new tactics to get around the filters we have in place. For those interested, there's a more complete discussion going on in /r/outoftheloop here and /r/spam here, here, and here. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that we are actively moderating all new submissions but things do slip through, so please make liberal use of the report button if you see something that is obviously not meant for this subreddit.
Our apologies for those of you who have been seeing some unusual and NSFW content, and thank you to those who have helped us out by reporting the spam. Hopefully the reddit administrators will make a statement or address the issue soon but if it persists in the near future we may consider blacklisting imgur submissions for the next little while to ameliorate the issue.
Thanks again for making this an incredible and friendly community for everyone; we hope to get this sorted out as soon as possible.
