I'm thinking of picking up a rotary tool to do some engraving/cutting/sanding on acrylic, glass, stone, and wood. I'm relatively new to this kind of stuff so I was curious about a couple things. I'm planning to get a 3M particulate respirator for the nastier stuff (glass, stone, etc.) and am now looking for a pair of goggles to wear. I noticed on a lot of the goggles that they have anti-fog vents, and since I don't really want glass dust in my eyes I was concerned about this. Do the vents protect against dust getting in my eyes? Is there a way to protect them from dust? Also, what precautions should I take to stay safe from the more dangerous dusts? Are there any dusts in particular I should try to avoid? Finally, with the cutting discs, are they as dangerous as something like an angle grinder if it shatters? I heard somebody say that Dremel cutting discs will really only give you a scratch if they shatter but I have no idea if this is true. I'm obviously not going to try to shatter one but I probably will.If there is anything else I should know before getting one please let me knowThank you for your help! I seriously appreciate it! :) via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2lCJQvV
