I want to invest in quality, under valued companies. Is there any advantage to doing the value calculations myself or can I just rely on Morningstar's Fair Value number? I get a free Morningstar premium subscription through one of my investment accounts.
My gut feeling is that the guys at Morningstar are a lot smarter than me and will do a much better job of analyzing the companies than I can.
