You may not be aware of this unless you are into the sports card collecting hobby, but within the past year or so a lot of money has been entering the high-end sports card market by the way of wealthy finance people. They are diversifying their investments using high-end sports cards such as high graded Michael Jordan rookie cards, Gretzky rookie cards, and very old baseball cards from the early 1900s of players such as Ty Cobb.
The Jordan rookies have increased in value by 4x-5x over since the new money has started pouring in. Has anyone else considered jumping on the bandwagon to diversify? I personally am not because I already have a valuable collection, so it wouldn't be much of a diversification for me, but I'm curious on what you all think about it. It's intrigued me since it started happening.
