I'm 18 years old, and recently I got a Discover It credit card with a $500 limit. It was my first credit card ever. I know I'm very, very responsible with money, and that I wanted to start building up credit, but when I was approved and had my card sent over to me, I felt overwhelmed. I remember what scared me the most was that I didn't know how to pay a balance. I was so fearful that I would somehow mess up with this card and screw up my entire future. I had the card and actually waited three months to activate it, just out of fear. Today I paid off my balance for the first time. 17 dollars and 25 cents. Easiest thing ever. They even pointed out the numbers I needed to input from my checkbook in order to correctly list my bank account.
I feel much more confident now. I know that I wouldn't have thought to get a credit card without the help of pf, so thank you guys for giving me a start on the right track.
