Female, 23, I work at a home improvement co (for 7-8 months now). I'm technically a "receptionist" but many of my tasks go above and beyond what a typical receptionist in the US is required to do at work.
Anyways, to the actual point, there is one other girl who borderline does the same things I do. A week ago my boss and my GM had a casual meeting with me and they want me to do more things:
-
Run their social media from every aspect.
-
Go and meet with homeowners face-to-face after install is wrapping up and ask them feedback questions to boost our companies reviews. So I'd actually be out in the field. While the girl who does the same things as me would basically keep on keepin' on back @ the office.
I am wondering if it is wise of me to sit down with my boss and let him know I would only be comfortable taking on the new tasks if I got a raise? I am asking for advice if that would be a smart move and also if you think so, some ways to word it?
