the free credit karma online tax prep software has a bug regarding HSA distributions on the 1099-SA form. The software does not have an option to declare that your distrubtion was used on qualified medical expenses. Therefore you are taxed an ADDITIONAL 20% on all HSA distributions from the 1099-SA. This issue has been found by other users and is still not fixed as of today;.
