I just moved into my own place and my mom sent me a bunch of knives she found in her basement (they are all my late fathers). Obviously as a grad student I'm going to use free knives (and some have sentimental value) but I was wondering what your experience with these knives are and if I should expect them to last. Here is the information I have on them:
Zwillings J. A. Henckles 8" Chef's knife
Cutco 2.75" pairing knife
Old hickory butcher knife
In addition, they're all dull so what does r/BuyItForLife recommend to sharpen them?
Thanks!
