Hi All,
I've been wanting to contribute to my employer sponsored 401k for some time now and keep getting stuck as I think the fees are too high. The plan is administered by Morningstar and gives us access to Fidelity options. Most of the options carry a 1.00%+ Annual Operating Expense, with only three options below that (FVITX and FTBRX at 0.76%, FEPTX at 0.77%, and FTAFX at 0.99%). My employer provides no match.
My question is this: Should I participate in this plan or am I better served by opening up an IRA with Vanguard? Any advice would be appreciated. Moreover, I'm pretty new to this and although I understand some of the very basic concepts, I'm sure there's a lot that's going over my head right now.
Thanks for the help in advance.
