My wife just got a job that will pay her insurance premiums completely. She is currently under my plan. I figure this will cost me around $2,500 for the year on. If I divorce her, I can change my plan, then remarry her. Is this insane? Illegal? Unseen problems? Is there a better way to trigger a LQE?
Edit: called back, got a different hr rep, showed them the link, she said it does qualify. I was able to cut the wife and now signed up under a cheaper provider. Thanks for all the help!
