So my parents claimed me as dependent on their taxes so that they could get the benefits. The problem is, I pay for my rent and I take out my own loans for college because they don't help me out at all. I think this might be causing me issues getting money from the FAFSA as well, because the government thinks my parents pay for over half of my income, when in reality they don't. What should I do in this situation? I'm a broke college student who only qualifies for loans because my parents claim me.
