So, I have had the same car all my driving life, I've had it for 15 years and it's an 01, it was financed through my parents when I was a teen. I did get a car from a good dealership about 4 years ago but my ex husband ran off with it when we split, I was a single parent who couldn't afford to pay it but I couldn't sell it in his possession, he said he was paying for it but it was repossessed. Obviously that means my credit is double fucked, I wouldn't be able to finance a car now without being robbed. My car is a Firebird, believe it or not I was able to cram a carseat into it, but my son is too big now and I have to hold his leg up not to shut it in the door. Plus the air has gone out, heat is shitting, damn thing has broken down I think 6 times this year. I'm in the market for a car and have been keeping an eye out. Well my mom came across one on Craigslist, private seller of course. It seems to good to be true but maybe I'm wrong, it's a 2005 Murano, they say there are no problems with it, still has good tires, good brakes, runs fine, 94k miles. They want $1500 for it. I assumed that as soon as I enquired that I would learn it was $1500 down at some dealership or something but that wasn't the case. They say it was their son's that he died in a biking accident and they just want it gone, that they travel a lot. They want to set it up and sell it through ebay. I have plenty of experience with ebay but none with ebay motors. Is them selling through ebay a good or bad sign? I know the saying if it's too good to be true that it probably is but I can barely afford this, I certainly can't afford anything better, I'm seriously considering gambling on it but I wanted insight.
