They had my name and last name, and asked to confirm my address for a deliver. I told them no, that's an old address and gave another address instead.
I called the number back and it was a Google voice number that kept going to voice-mail.
I went online and placed a freeze on my credit with equifax, but I wasn't able to do so with experian and transunion, apparently they need me to write in to their PO box to do so, AND I can't do it over the phone either (experian conveniently went ahead with the $10 charge on my credit card though - of course).
I'm wondering what my options are here. I'm pretty sure my identity, or a portion of it at least, has been compromised
.is a freeze with one beaurue (equifax) enough? I also have a credit karma account that I check regularly and lines of credit with citi, Amex bofa and chase (wondering if there's anything I can do directly with these creditors).
I feel vulnerable and helpless and angry right now, and I'm starting to think responding to the text at all was a huge mistake.
Has anyone gone through anything similar? Any tips?
Oh Im 100% sure no one is sending me flowers and I confirmed with 1800 flowers that they don't send address verification texts.
Thanks for any and all help.
