Hi all--I'm in Florida and recently I bought a piece of furniture and found an original bank "note notice" from 1955 from/for someone else (no clue who the person is). The bank no longer exists, so I’m trying to figure out what to do now. I called some other similar Trust Banks, and they weren’t really helpful. One said that it was actually money owed, the other said I should contact an attorney. So that’s why I’m here. I really don’t want to pay money to help someone I don’t know (could also be nothing), so what should I do? Here's a picture of the note.
