On the assumption that Trump retreats the US from its global standing in trade and economy, and instead focuses on re-industrializing the USA and spending heavily on local infrastructure...would that be a strong reason to presume that Small/Mid cap stocks would outperform Large Cap stocks?
I'm not sure if such a line of thinking is valid, but my basis for this is that Large Cap companies tend to be globalized with strong presence all over the world, while Small/Mid Cap companies do have the tendency of being comparatively more US-orientated.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.
