There are only two Shakers left, but at one time there were more than six thousand. They lived communally, grew their own food, raised livestock, and made and sold crafts. Although we may not agree with all of their beliefs, they lived simply and some aspects of their lifestyle are admirable.
I love this song and thought I would share the lyrics with people who also may appreciate them.
