So I was looking at other dividend and Wall Street bet posts and just looking at what people are doing. I rarely ever take any action based off of anything there. However, it seemed like someone was doing really well with some of these QQQ funds. And it got me digging around on Yahoo finance and I found one called sqqq. I'm not sure if I understand how these funds work and was hoping someone can explain it. The sqqq Is trading for about $7 but in 2012 was in the $100,000 range. It says their market cap is in the hundreds of billions. Why would anybody be investing in this fund if it's lost such horrendous amounts of money?

Sorry if this breaks the rules, and if so please let me know where I should post it. I've tried looking at normal finance websites like MarketWatch, Google, Yahoo, and I have not found a good description of what the heck this fund does. That is, besides lose money regularly.
