My Asian based company is transferring me to the states (Los Angeles). My annual salary is 90k and was given a 3.5k housing allowance and the company will pay for my car lease (600/month). Am I wrong to think that the housing and car is a given and should not be considered part of my salary? My company keeps saying “Technically your salary is $139k”. Is this logic correct? Or am I being over demanding?
Edit: Sorry for the confusion, I am a US citizen that moved to an Asian country for work. The same company is asking me to move to the states to open a branch office.
