Okay so I made a happy little accident, which can turn out to be a major mistake. I have bought shares of an ETF (EUUS) which is basically long USD short EUR and seems to have very very low liquidity. However currently I want to close my position and it seems not possible. When I looked in my account it said the following: "No available orders".
My question is the following. Does an ETF provider have the obligation to accept my sale when I want to exit my position, or it is fully dependent on the liquidity of the latter and my position will be only closed when there is a buyer. In case it is the second option, what can I do to close my position? Will it help if I fraction my sell order into smaller orders, or this will not change much? What are the possibilities to settle it OTC in this particular case and do you have any experience with sales of ETF shares OTC. How is it done etc.
Will really appreciate some useful info. Thanks in advance.
