I'm shopping around for a pet insurance policy for our new cat. We were on Nationwide in the past and were happy with it, but I'm seeing they no longer offer 90% coverage, which we'd really prefer. :(

I'm starting to become overwhelmed with all the options though. I've run across a couple of comparison tools (like Pawlicy), but have found them not that helpful. What tool or website have you used to compare different companies/policies? I'd love something that gives a side-by-side of pros and cons, projected costs, et cetera. A cool feature would be to be able to see at what point would my cat's medical bills become so expensive that a pricier plan becomes a better option, or something like that, if that makes sense, but we might also just need to buckle down and do that sort of math ourselves haha.

Any recs for this sort of thing is helpful, as well as recs for any companies you've liked! We're hoping to find something at 90%, high or no cap coverage with a $250-$500 deductible, which is around what we used to have with Nationwide. The top ones I was considering were Pets Best for the price (but it doesn't cover everything I'd like and apparently take forever to pay out) and Pumpkin for everything they cover (but it's a lot more expensive and I feel like I've heard mixed things).

TIA!
