Hello,
I am living in the US since first week July - in a rented apartment - and I have a credit card from Discover since the first week of August. My bank is PNC - I do not have a credit card from them - and I do not have any other credit accounts.
I need to buy a vehicle soon, so I wanted to check my credit reports and credit score in order to plan for my financing. However, I am unable to get a free check of them from any official-like sources.
My Discover account doesn't show the FICO score (customer service said that my CC needs to be at least 6 months old for that), FreeCreditScore.com asks for 6 months' US address details and AnnualCreditReport.com asks for 2 years US address details.
I am able to look at estimated Equifax and TransUnion VantageScore 3.0 scores from Credit Karma - both show 721 currently - but I am not sure about their relevance to my auto financing search and their credit reports also are not detailed.
From my understanding auto loan renders likely use FICO scores - and probably FICO Auto Scores, and though I admit it is unlikely that I can know the FICO Auto Scores, I want to at least know my overall FICO score(s) before I start to shop for Auto loan rates.
This is because some manufacturer captive financing companies currently have offers for 720+ credit score customers, and some for 700+, and I don't want to have a hard pull done by a provider if my actual FICO scores are near the margins or less than that (I only have CreditKarma scores as reference), which then drags my score even lower.
Is there a way for me to know my FICO scores with my US address and credit history being less than 6 months-old? Thanks in advance!
