I've recently purchased a home in Texas and I've been getting a lot of mail, ads, and door salesman coming with "great opportunities" for first time home buyers in Texas. Some regarding mortgage loan reduction, some "free" or "subsidized" solar panels as [part green energy programs. Some have come with mortgage disability insurance... etc. It's been an overwhelming amount of offers. Are any legitimate?
Also, if any, what should I consider doing as a first time home buyer?
