My laptop was seemingly on its last legs. The person at the computer shop told me it was too expensive to fix and to just get a new one. One of my daughters asked if she could take the hard drive for a computer she got for free from a friend. I said sure why not. She found it didn't work for her purpose but she began looking at the inside of mine and decided to look on Youtube about the issue (the charging port wasn't working). Turns out it was such a common issue that people made videos on how to fix it. A little superglue in the right spots and viola it was good as new! My daughter is 16 and had never worked on a computer before. To sum things up, before you give up on something look it up. You might be surprised that you can fix it yourself. Adding too that I bought her a new hard drive for her free computer off Amazon for about $20 and she installed it and now she has a working computer as well.
