So my boyfriend has always been a big fan of Cathie Wood. Ever since 2020, all I hear about is Cathie Wood did this and did that. He continuously keeps telling me about how she's a complete genius and visionary who nobody can understand. Every time she posts a new video about her or there's an interview with her, he's always the one to watch it. In the middle of our convos, he keeps mumbling words like "disruptive innovation" and "wright's law". I usually just let it go thinking maybe he's just really into it.
But during fucking Valentine's day yesterday, we were in the middle of making out and he just accidentally called me Cathie Wood. I was immediately surprised and asked him what happened. He kept making excuses of how it was because he just saw her name on reddit an hour ago or something like that. I get that he's passionate about the stock market and new technology but I think he is secretly in love with Cathie Wood. I fully support his interests, but can't stand that he's thinking about someone else during our time.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to stop this? I want to help my boyfriend if possible at our last attempt at a relationship.
