Just wondering if any of ya'll can offer insights.

I've been gradually trying to move away from using plastics, which strongly includes starting to avoid things like tupperware containers for reheating leftovers and such. It's not that I distrust reheating food in those things outright, it's just that it seems to be the case that overtime things like tupperware can become compromised and potentially expose us to chemicals we'd probably otherwise not want in us. Even if it doesn't have an effect in a life time, I can't imagine it's healthy.

My paranoia is to the point I don't even feel comfortable drinking coffee at work anymore because it's made with one of those plastic kitchen aid type coffee percolators. Something tells me we just probably shouldn't be heating anything in shit like this and have never been given a clear picture of the health risks they may carry.

Anyways, like the title says, I'm wondering if there are cheaper glass based alternatives I can finally start using/replacing tupperware with. I've been out of work for a few months but am finally making an income again and would like to cover this angle since I'm already uncomfortable bringing leftovers to work and reheating them in a tupperware, etc. We don't really have a break room area at my job, so while I could just also bring a plate, the lack of convenience in general just makes me feel glass dishes would cut out the busy work. I think buying a few dishes of decent quality could last me a while and allow me to ditch the cheap plastic.

For context, the sibling I'm living with has plastic containers that are literally bubbled and such. Strikes me as something that is very much compromised but she doesn't seem to have a concept that heating anything in those things may very well be putting her at risk today, not in 50 years. She's a fucking brick wall to try and argue anything opposite to her lazy ass world view so I'm just goona take care of myself instead, haha.
