I got a medical bill for $800 (after insurance discount) from a 5-minute office visit for a broken bone.
I see that they put a code for level 4. I did some digging and I strongly believe that it should've been level 2 or level 3 (which is already a stretch) based on the criteria. I tried calling the billing department asking for them to check/clarify this. Unfortunately, they are nothing but transparent. They just told me it was correct. What is my course of action can be, if there's any? Is it possible to get explanation why they charge a certain level ?
