Live in Florida. Was just fired for my job for being medically disabled and since It was a branch office with less than 50 employees I don't qualify for FMLA protection. Lawyers told me not worth it to even sue them as unlikely to win. Hit with over $7,000 in medical bills, about to lose insurance. I made $36k last year, and I'm applying for financial aid at the hospital I was admitted to but they want last 12 months of my income. Obviously I won't be able to get the entire medical bill written off because I made too much last year. But a ton of my income went to medical bills over the past year anyway to include prescriptions, MRIs, medical procedures, doctor visits.

Are there any other means of obtaining financial assistance??? Unemployment will make my income go up which is bad because it reduces my Obamacare premium and make me have to pay almost double than if I just make no income. It sucks.
