Recently I had a frustrating and annoying situation with TD bank. I opened account online, made two deposits and next thing I know, my account is closed - and there is NO ONE and I mean NO ONE to help me. Not one email or communication on why they did this or how I can fix it.

After months of no action and no progress, I decided to search and see if I was alone. Luckily someone on this group suggested filing a complaint with a governmental oversight (committee, department ?) - which I did and then I followed up with a complaint to the BBB.

Boom, two days later I get a call from TD bank - a wonderful lady who cares helped me out. Mind you it still took a couple of days - but at least I had someone who took responsibility. Up till then, customer service was nice but didn't have the power to do anything - not even call me back.

I am talking to this TD bank representative and I asked her why she finally called (I also posted on TD FB and Twitter) - she tells me it was the complaint. I said that is not right. Why must I the customer who deposited money in good faith have to chase after TD bank and only by filing a complaint - get someone to help me out. Essentially, TD bank STOLE my money.

I realized that I am not the only one this has happened too. It is unbelievable that in 2021 this kind of thing happens. This is unacceptable!!

I wrote a thank you not to the above mentioned TD agent including a complaint to forward to her bosses with a request they call me so I can give them a lesson on what customer service means. No one ever called.

I don't want this to happen to anyone else - left with no choice - I am thinking that only a class-action and negative PR will make TD bank change their nefarious ways.

So please shout out if you were wronged by TD bank and if you think a class action is possible.

Thanks.
