I plan on being single for most of my life and I do not want children, which will mean I will not have anyone to pass an inheritance on to. I’m planning to have my will give my assets to charity.
Would it be wise for me to own a home? I live with my parents and have saved up around $35k but now I am wondering if I should start renting an apartment and keep my savings in the stock market rather than save up to buy a house.
