Hello everyone, just some basic background: I am 22, make 80,000$/year, in a good location where my expenses are very minimal (Below 750$/Month), and I have no debt (Paid off 2015 Subaru Legacy w/ 75k Miles, no college debt). I've made my 2020 and 2021 contribution for my Roth IRA, and have been funding the maximum match amount in my 401k.
The thing I am finding myself in is that, despite being well positioned, I am very apprehensive to invest beyond the 401k. I am so nervous about putting any money into the stock market at all, even with Index funds / ETFs and I just can't seem to shake that feeling. I look at the Roth IRA differently even though it's really not that much different.
Does anyone have any advice as to how to overcome this? Right now I am just saving money in an account and letting it pile up but I know I could utilize it in probably a zillion ways.
