For years I've refused to throw out my used little pieces of soap bars. You know, the ones to small to use ? They just lay around falling into the sink, down the drain, into the shower floor. Every so often I try smushing them into one ball but it falls apart.
Recently thought I saw or remembered little soap pouches that looked like they were made for holding these little pieces.
I got on Amazon and searched soap pouches and they do carry them. Nylon mesh pouches with a draw string. I got a pack of four for ten bucks and I'm using one for my shower and one for my sink.
Gotta say they work a lot better than just leaving the bits around. Makes me feel good I'll never have to chase one around the sink or shower floor, and I'm actually using all my soap that I buy.
I just grab one and put it under the wash cloth when I'm in the shower. For the sink I just rub it between my hands under water and it lathers right up.
They also seem to dry quickly which hopefully keeps germs at a minimum.
I'm sure you could make one out of a cloth if you wanted. I'd never get around to it and for such a small item it makes me happy knowing they look and work Soo much better than little soap bits in a dish out on a shower shelf.
