I live in a different state than my mother, whose birthday is in February before Valentines Day. She truly enjoys flowers, so I always have flowers delivered on her birthday. As a subscriber to the frugal lifestyle, I shop around for just about everything before I buy. I was comparison shopping between a half dozen-dozen or so sites today. If I find an arrangement I think she'll like, I add it to my cart and begin checkout until I can compare final costs + delivery vs. the arrangement I like the best across several sites. After making my final selection, I checked my email for the order confirm. At least 5 sites sent me a "come back and we'll waive delivery!" email- typically anywhere from a $14.99 to +$16.99 fee. Figured I'd share if others were looking for Valentines Day flowers (or non V-Day flowers). Definitely worth it to back out and wait half an hour for some potential saved $$.
Bonus pro-tip: Rakuten is doing a TON of cash back for flower delivery places right now. Also, I bank through Chase and had a Chase offer- so look out for opportunities to stack cash back deals.
