I recently received a 15K inheritance that I didn't know about. I am not sure what I should be doing with it. I am 27 and married with no kids. We owe about 80K on our house but don't have any problems paying it down as we make around 110K a year collectively. I have a Roth IRA maxed out already and currently put in 10%+5% company match into my 401K. I have about 4K in random stocks on TDAmeritrade but again, I am not sure where to put this 15K. Should I invest it in stocks? I don't even know or understand what a mutual fund is but I have heard that is a good idea. I also heard about high dividend stocks.
I hope the above paragraph paints the picture and I would be happy to answer any questions if anyone is willing to offer some advice. I appreciate everyone and thank you for reading this!
EDIT: Forgot to mention our only debt is the house and my car with about 8K left on the loan with very little to no interest.
