A few months ago, I was living in a high cost of living area paying $1200 a month on rent & utilities. I recently moved back in with my parents since my job is remote so I don't have to pay rent - I'm pretty frugal.
However, my parents create a toxic environment in the house and it's pretty frustrating. Basically every time I leave my room, I find them arguing and bickering over the most trivial things. They really seem like miserable people that don't know how to enjoy life despite being older.
I get dragged into the toxicity too, although I usually don't talk much because talking back to your parents usually never ends well. Also I'm living in their house so I don't really have the leverage to do so.
So I pretty much just stay in my room for work and only leave to grab food. My parents don't like that I don't spend much time with them but the reason I don't is because they are always either watching TV or arguing with each other. Both of them work too but their jobs are not demanding.
What should I do?
