Few days ago breaker trips. But it cannot be reset as the "OFF" does not click but is spongy. When it trips, it kills random power through the home.. bathroom lights, bedrooms light but not outlets. SOME kitchen outlets but not all. Let it sit a while, and then all is good. Breaker can be flipped "OFF" as normal, and back on. All is fixed. This issue happened twice.. but hasn't happened since yesterday. Now, I find that my two outdoor outlets are dead. They usually power outdoor lights. I hit the "TEST" button and nothing happens. I hit the "RESET" button and nothing happens. Usually these click. Well, one outlet when tripped has a green light. That light is off, but flickers on every once in a while when I jiggle stuff. Called electricians was given lackluster responses 'see what happens.. I can try to find it but thats expensive..'Can I work on the outdoor outlets (checking wiring is all hooked up) without turning off power since i have no clue what breaker is properly giving them power? Trying to avoid being electrocuted and you know.. dying. Not sure if they can be 'fried' and I should just go buy new ones. Other than seeing everything is connected anything else I can spot for trouble? Thanks everyone. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Ej8Wys
