I live in a small house with my partner in the midst of a large city. The neighborhood is quiet, consisting of small, old bungalows, and the demographics skew towards older working-class folks. I work nights, thus avoiding traffic congestion and have tried to make what feels like a small-town/country life while still in an urban context. I like it here well-enough, and we’re not planning to move anytime soon. Any tips on slow, simple living in the city?
