My houses has two water heater tanks. The upstream one keeps tripping the breaker after running for a bit. It appears to have rust around the bottom element.Is there any Negative (besides premature failure of the top element) of just unwiring the bottom element? The upstream tank is kind of just a preheat, we wouldn’t need it unless we have company, which I’ll have company for the next two weekends.Note: the reason I ask is I’m gonna have a full house for the holiday, and I don’t think I could get the bottom element out with all the rust without removing the tank all together via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/36EgMLK
