My toilet flapper is starting to stick up. It’s not every time but just enough to be annoying and today it did it when I was leaving so it ran all day long. I’m sure I could just replace the flapper but to save me a trip to the store would adding silicone grease to the two tabs that hold it up help it to drop back down?I don’t fully understand how a flapper stays up for a bit then drops down so I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t mess it up since silicone grease is so hard to clean off of things.I saw another suggestion to just add a stainless nut to the chain to add weight and wanted to check on that as a solution. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ZbHJ71
